The Pascual Family

Dear friends and family,

"It is with a heavy heart that we reach out to you today to inform you that on the morning of May 2nd, we awoke to the news that our beloved Librarian/Teacher Mrs. Mary Pascual, had died in her sleep. In these past few years, Mary has made a meaningful impact on [Saint Jeanne's] preschool through junior high students. Her kind, gentle soul, her passion for teaching her students, and her faith-filled heart have been a gift to our community." (St Jeanne Newsletter, 05.02.2023)

Thank you to you all who have reached out. Please accept my apologies if I have not been able to respond to you in these challenging times.

Our family has been blessed by your outpouring of love. Our school community has established a "meal-train" that extends through June. We have been blessed that the expenses for funeral and burial services are covered.

As many of you have asked, "how can I help," the biggest help that can be offered are for my daughters and their Catholic education. The reason why Mary and I joined Saint Jeanne's in Temecula is because we believed in the Company of Mary's charism for Catholic formation of the whole child, which conveniently extends from pre-school thru high school. The various schools that we have worked with have begun a GOFUNDME account for this support. Please consider contributing in Mary's memory.

The celebration of her life will take place on May 11, Thursday at Saint Polycarp in Stanton (in Orange County), 10am will be the Viewing, with a liturgical celebration of receiving the body, and time to share our stories and grieve as a church community. At 12noon, at Saint Polycarp, we will celebrate Mary's life with the "funeral Mass." Her interment will take place at 2pm at Good Shepherd Cemetery. This celebration will be streamed, so we will provide that broadcast link as it is made available. Saint Polycarp as a parish plays a special role in our lives. It is the parish that Mary and I met, served together, and celebrated our holy matrimony.

Our beloved school community, Saint Jeanne in Temecula, will celebrate Mary's life with a Memorial Mass on May 15, Monday at 8:30am. Mary has grown to fall in love with Saint Jeanne, the person, her life story, and mission. Therefore, we have chosen Saint Jeanne's feast day, Monday, May 15 to celebrate Mary's life. I am deeply appreciative of our school leadership for choosing this day especially in its tight schedule of APs, May Crowning, and graduations! Presiding will be her brother Father Joseph, with her family in attendance, to encounter the student/faculty community she has impacted. This celebration will be streamed as well.

Thank you again for your outpouring of love and support in all its kinds.

God bless,
Michael and the Pascual family
