Help Tessa

Tessa's sisters Gillian, Sally and Judith asked me to help them organize a Go Fund Me campaign. 

 

Last weekend Gillian and Sally flew in from England and New Zealand for last rites for their little sister. Tessa is in the ICU at H+ hospital in Cabo. Until yesterday, she was going to die. Today, after some medical heroics and miracles, she is conscious and talking. In a couple of weeks she will be home.  

 

We are asking everyone in the LB community to pitch in so she doesn't come home to a financial disaster. Her bill from the hospital will devastate her. Please help us pay it.

 

Los Barriles is a fishing town, kiteboarding destination and just sweet home to many who love the country, the people and the beauty.

 

Tessa Nisbet came to LB in the '80s to windsurf. She bought a scratch of sandy land near the beach on Barracuda Blvd and built a home and life of friendships we all admire.

 

She started knitting sweaters for her friends. She has a loom and imports natural yarn. If you stop by during 'production,' she will drop everything, pick the sweetest limes for your drink and send you home with a mini harvest from her orchard garden 30 years in the making. And whatever else you need. Always. She must have made several thousand sweaters by now. She makes every sweater with a pure heart; that is our Tessa. Anyone with one of these sweaters feels it and becomes her friend. It's impossible not to.

 

So, friends, we need to make sure she's around to make us more sweaters!

 

We've set up this account so donations go directly to Tessa's bank in the US and then wired to pay the H+ Hospital bill. 100% of your donation goes to pay her bill.
