We would like to introduce you to a precious little girl who needs your help!

Kinsley Rae was born on March 15th, 2015 at 31 weeks. While in the NICU at Munson Medical Center, doctors started to get concerned with her bilirubin levels being high causing jaundice that was not going away by help of phototherapy. The decision was made to transfer her to DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, for further evaluation. On April 27th, 2015, Kinsley was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia, a rare liver disease where the ducts in the liver are closed or non-existent causing bile to back up and damage the liver eventually leading to cirrhosis and liver failure. A procedure called Kasai was preformed where a piece of Kinsley’s small intestine was attached to her liver in hopes that this would allow bile to drain from her liver.

Unfortunately, in June of 2015, it was clear that the Kasai procedure did not work and Kinsley would need a liver transplant. After many visits and evaluations at Mott Children's Hospital in Ann Arbor, Kinsley was listed for her transplant in November 2015. While she has remained in fair health, with a very feisty attitude, complications due to her cirrhosis and portal hypertension have risen and a transplant is crucial at this point.

Kinsley was moved to Mott Chidren's Hospital in Ann Arbor on April 5. She was moved to the ICU on April 17 because of a blood clot and bleeding found in her stomach. Tory and Shelby, Kinsley's parents, have both been off work for a few weeks and will both be taking unpaid leave.  It is our hope that we can help the Thrush family stay together in Ann Arbor with their daughter and continue to take care of their financial obligations at home. They are wonderful people with a very sick little gal. Every little bit helps!!! Thank you so much.
