MY JOURNEY STARTS HERE
On October 6th, I went in for my first mammogram. That day, the doctor asked if I would come back because he wanted to biopsy the abnormality he saw from my Mammogram results. I was told to wait until the Nurse Navigator contacted me. I had to wait for a nurse navigator
After waiting two weeks, my nurse navigator called and walked me through what to expect in the next few weeks. The nurse navigator explained the re

sults to me. The first diagnosis was that she had stage 2 breast cancer, and I had a 97 percent chance of survival. She walked me through what to expect in the next few weeks.
I was to meet with the surgeon the following week and would go into surgery a few days later.
I met with the surgeon, and she was hesitant to go into surgery and wanted a few more tests run. The test I did was an MRI and PET CT Scan.
The PET CT scan results came back with a possible tumour in my right ¨Sitting Bone¨. I had a bone biopsy done, and the results came back positive for cancer. Now, instead of having Stage 2 cancer, I had Stage 4 cancer. When the Nurse Navigator called me to discuss the results and my treatment options.
MY OPTIONS
- Surgery was not an option.
- Pain Management
- Life Span Was four years
I was devastated.
My medical team outsourced me to a different hospital and oncologist. How could I tell my boys the updated results? I went to the new oncologist. I was defeated and alone. I mourned my life. I was weak and would not tell my family over the phone. I felt like my medical team threw me away. On December 31st, I was with my new oncologist. He looked over my medical records and agreed I had stage four metastatic breast cancer. My oncologist said surgery is back on. He looked me in the face and said
ARE YOU READY? That day, I felt renewed. I wasn't left to die. He believed in me. Words can not explain how I felt.
I am asking for donations to help with medical treatments and living expenses. GOFUNDME gives helpful tips. I post my story and updates often.
I can not work and have been denied help through Washington Connections and the Financial Assistance at Peace Health.

THANK YOU FOR BELIEVING IN ME AND HELPING ME THROUGH THIS HORRIBLE TIME IN MY LIFE.
MY FIGHT IS NOT OVER.
I am denied because funds are unavailable, I do not qualify, or I've been put in a lottery and on a list.
I am still making calls and sending in forms for financial assistance and will keep trying until I receive some help
My Monthly Medicare Looks Like This
- Zometa
- Hebron
- Estrogen Injection
- Estrogen Blockers (Daily)
- Verzino (twice a day)
The Verzino is outrageous. It's a chemo pill
that I desperately need. I'm working on reducing the price from six thousand dollars to 2500. I will know soon if I qualify for the discount card.
I also have living expenses. This is why I desperately need your donation.
Please help. All donations are appreciated.
