Hi everyone, as some of you may know, my mom, Judee, was diagnosed with breast cancer in June of this year.
In late July, she had to get a partial mastectomy + full breast reconstruction on both breasts to remove the cancer that was found back in June. The surgery was ultimately successful but she did experience a few health complications, and is currently still recovering. After her recovery, she will need to go for radiation 5 days a week for at least 6 weeks. We are not yet sure what will happen after this.
Currently, she is being faced with medical expenses that are not entirely covered by her insurance, as well as day-to-day living expenses. She is not working, and has not been for a bit now due to previous medical problems, and I had to take a leave of absence from my job to help her with her recovery until I leave for tour in September, and possibly again after that depending on her radiation schedule.
At this point, her savings have run out, she has exhausted all of her options for financial assistance, and we’re not quite sure where to turn. We need help to pay her existing and future medical expenses, as well as her day-to-day living expenses (if we raise enough money).
