HELP PAUL FIGHT COVID

Paul Hemsing has been my hair stylist for many years, and I’m proud to say a friend as well.   He is a true artist in the way he styles his clients, but he is also an amazing human being and has talent in so many areas - cooking, piano, flower arrangement, decorating…. I can go on and on.  Paul has had a very hard year; due to COVID restrictions, his business was shut down for almost 5 months this past year.  Not to be discouraged, he not only got a job at a local greenhouse, but he also worked tirelessly to advocate for the beauty industry in Alberta, and was instrumental in getting the beauty industry back to work.  Not to go into detail, but Paul also has had setbacks in his professional career this year as well, which were very unfair, but he took it all in with grace and determination.  His troubles culminated this year in his recently contracting COVID, and he is very sick; he has had to be intubated, and remains in a coma in ICU.  While we are cautiously optimistic, if he recovers he is in for a lengthy rehab.  Meanwhile, he and his devoted husband Michael have been out of work for a large portion of this year, and again right now due to COVID restrictions.  I am asking for donations to ease the financial burden that they have had and will continue to have, so he can focus on his recovery.  Paul has always been there to give a helping hand and an encouraging word to anyone in need, whenever he could.  I realize COVID has hit people hard, but if you can give anything at all, please do; and if you can’t donate, please share this and pray for Paul’s recovery.
