Bucket List Dream

   My name is Colleen Connor I have Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. 2012 was my first battle. I lost my hair, my house, car and all I worked my whole life for. It was totally devastating to my heart and soul.

   In 2016 I went into remission. I knew the road would be hard but with the help from God and my fellowship my life began again. I went back to work full steam. I got back all the things I once lost and then some.

  I’ve been hearing about people and their bucket lists for 30 years. I’ve seen all the bucket list movies as well. What I thought once was my bucket list changed through the years due to maturity and finances.

  12/23/2019 I was in a car accident that revealed that there was a lesion on my spine. I knew enough about cancer  to know recurring cancer was a game changer. I knew at that moment once again I would fight for my life, however with a different outcome. I’m fighting for a little more time here with my loved ones. I’ve been fighting cancer for 12 years.

  Once again I have downsized and simplified my life to the best of my ability. Once again my bucket list money disappeared in the thick of medical bills.

  My dream would be to be baptized in the Jordan River where Jesus was baptized. I would dream to see where he was born and where he grew up however war has prevented that from happening.

  The Northern Lights photos in Alaska is one of the most beautiful wonders I have ever seen. God’s beauty at its finest. I would love to visit Alaska to experience God’s splendor, to feel close to my Creator and to let God know it’s been a far better life than I deserve. Unfortunately, my PET scan on Nov 1 of this year showed the cancer has spread to my liver, lungs and chest as well as the previous spine  and tailbone lesions have tripled. 

  It breaks my heart that my children will have to bear so much financial responsibility because I can’t work but the bills keep coming cancer or not.

  It’s not easy for me to ask for help however there is no other way to achieve this gift then to ask for help. I fully plan to let go and Let God take over. That doesn’t mean I’m ready to lie down. I’m a warrior who still has 

fight in me! My life is so beautiful,  so perfect. I have worked hard to have a relationship with my Creator. I pray I’m worthy to enter the gates of Heaven.
