Help Baby Landon

Hi, My name is Anastasia and I'm a friend of Micaela and Jeff. This page is to help the Weir family with the increasing medical expenses that they are facing after the birth of Landon on May 23rd. In the early morning of May 23rd, I received a text from Micaela which told me she started an early induction which lead to an emergency c-section at 38w. Micaela shared that Landon was diagnosed with respiratory failure and the nurses had been working with him to breathe on his own. Landon has struggled with hypothermia, as well as bottle feeding as needed in order to return home. In the days following, Micaela and Jeff's worlds were turned upside down as various tests and procedures discovered that Landon is battling arthrogryposis, a rare condition that affects his muscle movement, breathing and swallowing capabilities. There are additional unknowns about Landon's diagnoses and what his long-term functioning will look like, making the medical costs unknown but exponential. Between various testing, current and ongoing services Landon will need, and other unexpected costs, we want to help relieve some of the burdens for the family.
