Lymph node Cancer

Hello,

I’m setting this go fund me up for my Mother in law, Nicola Smith -

Who has 5 children her youngest two being 8 and 9 years old and 2 young grandchildren - 2 year old and 9 week who she loves and adores.

Little bit of a backstory for those who know her but aren’t aware of what’s been going on for the last few months, Nicola found a lump in her groin in back in May which she was fobbed off 3 times from the doctors a week later she went into hospital with it and was kept in for over a week while they did multiple tests, bloods, scans, CT and MRI scans she was given a 2 week pathway and after all these come back a week later she was diagnosed with STAGE 3/4 SCC CANCER in May.

She was referred to Christie’s and had a PET SCAN where they found the cancer had spread to 6 lymph nodes.

She is currently having the a intense course chemotherapy which started on the 18th July for 6 months (once every week) with a rescan after 3 months to see if the further 3 months is needed due to where the cancer is effecting all 6 lymph nodes in which radiotherapy wouldn’t of worked for.

After her first 2 treatments Nicola had chosen to do the brave shave as her children was seeing her loosing her hair and it wasn’t nice for them to slowly see and ask questions and it also wasn’t nice for her either so this was a hard choice she had to make.

These weekly treatments make her very poorly and drained and take it out of her for 3/4 days at a time in which she is loosing precious time with her babies.

Nicola has worked her whole life currently been at her work place 34 years, she has always helps everyone around her now I’m asking for little help for her as many of you know the polite beautiful brave women she is I would just like to take a little financial stress of her due to her not being in work at the minute.

Her one wish after this nightmare is over is to take all of her children away on holiday, which she would love to do if we get the news and results we truly hope and pray for every single day if anyone would like to contribute towards this to take a little pressure form her then we would appreciate it so much
