Her fight is our fight

If you know me, you know that my sister Anna is my best friend. On June 3rd, we had a baby shower with friends and family to celebrate the upcoming arrival of her first born baby girl, Emilia. An unexpected turn of events followed. My sister found a lump on her breast. Upon first glance, her doctor wasnt too concerned as it was thought to be a milk duct that turned into a cyst. She was put on antibiotics with no resolution. My sister went thru further testing and a biopsy concluded that she has stage 2 Invasive ductal carcinoma, a form of breast cancer. We are all devastated to hear this news. Anna was induced at 36 weeks and we welcomed baby Emilia. With a heavy treatment plan ahead, the road my sister must walk will undoubtedly be grueling. Knowing that my sister will not be able to fully enjoy the newborn bliss period with her daughter is heart wrenching. Together, as her family and friends, we can help with some of her pain and worries. My goal in creating this GoFundMe page is to provide her with the best possible care and alleviate some of the financial stress she will face during this time so she can focus on recovery and the well being of her newborn. Despite everything she is going through, she has been staying as strong as possible. We appreciate all donations, love, support, and prayers that you can send for Annas journey to becoming cancer-free. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and for being part of this fight against breast cancer. With heartfelt gratitude,Teresa
