Parker’s Road to Recovery

Hi my name is Robyn Cox and I’m raising funds on behalf of my grandson Parker and his family to provide the financial support needed to get them through this crisis

On Thursday, December 7th, 2023 my grandson, 6 year old Parker was involved in a horrible accident. His lower body was ran over by a lawn mower. The accident destroyed much of his lower legs and feet. We are thankful and blessed that he is alive through what is nothing less than horrific and unimaginable.

Parker was rushed by ambulance to Kapiolani medical center in Honolulu Hawaii where he will spend weeks to months in the hospital enduring clean out surgeries and many many reconstructive surgeries. After that he will be wheelchair bound while he learns to walk again. We have no idea at this time how long this will take and what the future of his mobility looks like. We are just so thankful that he is alive.

My daughter Chavah is a single parent raising 4 children on her own ( children are ages 14, 8,7 and 6) she works for herself doing childcare for vacationing families. There is no paid medical leave, family medical leave etc.

The medical bills will all ( most likely) be covered by insurance. the challenge will be paying for her regular bills along with paying for additional expenses that have now come along with Parker’s injury.

im very concerned that the amount she is going to need ( long term) is going to be much higher. However the amount we are fundraising is what the bare bones costs will be for the next 6 months of being unable to work consistently.

We have been so thankful for the outpouring of love and support for Parker To know this guy is to love him. He makes friends of all ages wherever he goes. And we are all feeling “Parker love” from everyone.
