Hi, I’m Mia Rose Downs, a medical volunteer in Tanzania. Since I’ve been here, I’ve been immersed in the Mount Meru Regional Hospital located in Arusha.

I am currently in the maternity wing, more specifically in the labour ward, where many women give birth each day. I am shocked by how much women suffer here, and how more resources are seriously needed to reduce pain and improve outcomes.

I am doing my best to contribute, but it would be of such help if you could help me raise some money in order for me to do a daily visit to pharmacy to buy and share with the mothers and the hospital whilst I’m here and at the end of my stay.
