Support Family in Memory of a Loving Father

Hello,
In the early hours of October 2nd, my dad, Fidel Trejo, passed away. Anyone who knows me knows how much my viejito lindo means to me. From my early memories of accompanying him on his walks in the park that involved me getting hit by bikes at times (haha!) to my morning Nesquik chocolate milk he'd buy me daily before kindergarten, my dad was my main hero. He never let his disabilities stand in the way of providing for his passionate wife and six uniquely strange kids, including his grandchildren! He loved us. He continued to drive us to our first days of school, job interviews, and shopping sprees, as well as helping his family back home, as he continued to keep them close to his heart. He enjoyed making us happy, no matter what. Especially when he took me, my mom, my sister, and my brother, to watch Spider-Man 2, despite not being a fan of theaters. He played through the pain until the end, as he did with every hurdle coming his way.
I’ve gotten closer to him these past few years and have grown to admire him more for his strength in carrying on despite the pain he’s been coping with. He did not let cancer or the stroke he endured take away his faith, and for that, I will continue to cherish his relentless spirit in healing.
Que descanse en paz, papi.
Te quiero mucho.
I will never forget you.
