Support the Prunty Family After Tragic Loss
Donation protected
Hello
First, I want to start by saying I truly appreciate you taking a moment to read The Prunty Family's story. They have been battling obstacle after obstacle since 1996. It started when Grace Prunty, wife of Tom Prunty, was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma shortly after moving to Moorehead, MN. While amid Grace's battle with cancer, in 1997, Tom and Grace found out their youngest daughter Ashley was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis. At that time, they were told by the doctors that Ashley wouldn't live past the age of
18. And, if she did, it was possible that she would be deaf, blind, or even paralyzed. At the end of 1997, Ashley had surgery to remove the brain tumors which led her to have disabilities for the rest of her life.
In 2016 Grace was diagnosed with cancer a second time.
This time it was Breast Cancer. While dealing with Breast Cancer Grace was diagnosed with Lung Cancer. She had to have 30% of her left lung removed. After all the terrifying health issues The Prunty family has endured, they have kept strong and continued to move forward in life. When in 2024
Grace was sadly diagnosed with Stage 3 kidney failure.
During all the unfortunate events that have happened to the Prunty family, Tom stayed strong and worked hard to support and care for his family.
When, on August 24°, 2024, Tom went on a motorcycle ride with his wife, daughter, and friends. Due to the road conditions, Tom lost control of his motoreycle and crashed.
With life-threatening injuries, Tom was airlifted to the nearest hospital in Ocala, Florida. Where in the early hours of 08/25/2024, the doctor who had been working to save Tom had come to Tom's wife and two daughters with the tragic news of Tom's passing due to injuries sustained from the crash.
Tom has left behind his wife and two daughters to pay for medical expenses, Tom's celebration of life costs, along with meals, and personal life expenses such as car and home payments. Due to his wife Grace being unable to work, Tom was the primary provider of his family.
Tom's family and I, as well as the entirety of my family, would like to Thank Everyone who has taken the time to show support and love during this heartbreaking time. Any donations to The Prunty family are greatly appreciated and will help immensely. If you are currently unable to donate, I ask that you pray for Tom's family during this difficult time.
If you could also pass this GoFundMe page onto others and help spread the word of The Prunty Families story and tragic loss.
Thank You.
