Music and Healing Hospital Concert Series

My name is Frances Becker, Supervising Creative Arts Therapist at San Mateo Medical Center, a county hospital in the San Francisco Bay Area. I am asking for support to continue San Mateo Medical Center's Music and Healing Hospital Concert Series.
The Music and Healing Concert Series was started a year and a half ago by me. The series is not funded by San Mateo County or San Mateo Medical Center. Local top notch Bay Area musicians have performed every month this past year (live in person shows pre-quarantine, and virtual online shows during the quarantine). These concerts were planned with the intention of providing:
1) Therapeutic, relaxing, and enjoyable music for the patients--many of them have no other means of support and resources, and are the most vulnerable and lonely in the community. Many have come to this county hospital as a last resort in their recovery journey.
2) A holistic and humane environment for the patients with the inclusion of live music, which makes a huge difference in bringing a more positive vibe and atmosphere to the hospital.
The concert series has been hugely successful, with rave reviews from the patients, as well as patient families and hospital staff. Patients and staff have noticed a difference in the patients' mood, attention span, and level of depression and anxiety. Staff have remarked that the music provides them with much needed morale boosting during this challenging time. And the hired musicians have expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to help others, as well as to have continued paid work/income, which had greatly diminished for them due to the closure of live music venues in the SF Bay Area during this quarantine.
A limited amount of short term grant money was previously awarded by two of the hospital's foundations. The short term funds will be running out by the end of the first quarter of 2021.
The money raised in this Gofundme campaign will help me to continue to book/hire musicians to perform in the patient care areas. My goal is to have enough funding to hire 3 musicians performing for 3 different areas of the hospital each month for the next 2 years.
At this time, virtual online performances are allowed in the long term care/subacute units and the psychiatry/mental health units. And if/when the quarantine is lifted to allow outside visitors, the musicians can be booked to perform live in the patient care areas, as well as the common areas of the hospital (main lobby and waiting area).
