Kevin Deneen’s Road to Recovery

Hi, my name is Nicole and I’m Kevin’s daughter. On July 26, my dad was involved in a major head on accident on Bourne Scenic highway in front of the Shanty Seafood restaurant. A truck traveled into his lane causing him to flip and end up in front of the restaurant. He was trapped in his truck and was extricated by the jaws of life thanks to the Bourne Fire and Police Department. He was medflighted to a Rhode Island trauma hospital. He sustained multiple cuts and bruises, a broken leg, broken ribs, broken nose, and a ruptured globe in his eye. He underwent emergency surgery to repair his injuries, but unfortunately the doctors are not optimistic of him having any sight in his left eye. If you know my dad, you know he will always go out of his way to help anyone in anyway he can. Now is our turn to help him during this difficult, life altering injury. My dad owns his own welding business and takes so much pride in working for himself to support our family. His injuries he will cause him to be out of work for the foreseeable future. With his strength and determination I know he will eventually get back to doing what he loves. When he received the prognosis on possibly losing his eye, his response was, “well I have another eye.” Please help support my family during this difficult time and long road of recovery for my dad.
