Help Mike Dyer Beat Cancer
Donation protected
In August 2023 our dear friend Mike Dyer (IHS ‘90, USMA ‘94) was involved in an automobile accident. During the subsequent examinations, doctors discovered a brain tumor. Mike underwent surgery, and the surgeon was able to remove almost 95% of it. The surgery was followed up with multiple rounds of radiation and chemotherapy. Unfortunately, during a recent scan Mike’s doctors discovered a suspicious area and have elected to perform another surgery.
Anyone who knows and loves Mike (and/or watched him on a football or rugby field!) knows how tough he is, and what a wonderful attitude he has. Throughout his difficult battle, that toughness and positive attitude has never wavered. He has faced this obstacle with dignity, strength, bravery, and humor.
“Circumstances don’t make the man, they only reveal him to himself.” Mike has certainly been revealed as what we all already knew—a great man.
Mike still has a tough road to travel. Due to the upcoming surgery and subsequent treatments his work will be interrupted at times. Unfortunately, his expenses will not be.
I know you will all agree that the only thing Mike should be focusing on right now is getting better. I also know that we all love him and want to help. I hope you will consider donating so Mike can worry less about bills and more about kicking cancer’s ass!
