Help Holocaust Survivor living in San Diego!

As a small 3-year-old girl this little lady’s young world was destroyed by the genocide of WWII. Forced to flee Ukraine - mother, sister & her lived fearfully in a cold dark apartment in Siberia for 2 years. Returning to Kyiv, finding her father was murdered by the Nazis, the family had to live in a cold, dark basement of a bombed-out building. Trauma like this does not go away. More of her story will be told but first, we must help her live her remaining years safe, warm & comfortable.

I met this little lady when out-of-state family asked me to look in on her and advise - she had not let anyone into her home in over 30 years. We quickly struck a bond and she became comfortable in sharing her story with me. With 80% of her income going towards the space rent of her mobile home there was not much left for renovations of her aging structure. Her current living condition resembled that of post-war bombed-out basement I had seen in pictures. Because of her past, she would not ask for help but continued to soldier on through her life as she aged and her health continued to decline.

Her living situation was hurtful with no working water heater, stove, or refrigerator, failing plumbing, unsafe electrical, and old aluminum louver windows where she handmade insulation to keep the cold out. I’d never seen anything like it!

She now is willing to accept the help! We are renovating her home to meet her basic needs and accommodate her as she ages. She deserves it!

The builder is generously donating his time but as you know rebuilding is costly. This is where YOU CAN HELP! 100% of the funds will be used to renovate and simplify life for this little lady so she can live out life comfortably in her home.
