Get Dexter Home

We’re raising funds to help get Dexter to Carlisle, where his loving family and new brother Pom are waiting for him.

Dexter was heartbreakingly dumped outside our workplace in Qatar last November and has been with us ever since as no charity could take him. Despite not being able to keep him permanently due to living circumstances, we have explored every possible option for his future. The stray dog crisis in Doha makes it incredibly difficult to ensure a safe life for dogs like Dexter with them being regularly dumped back on the streets after adoption.

So, we are incredibly lucky that a family member in the UK has offered to take him in and make sure that he is safe and loved.

Over the past three months, we’ve been working on getting Dexter to the UK by arranging for him to fly as extra baggage with a family member. Unfortunately, UK airports no longer allow pets to arrive this way, and he now has to travel as cargo. Dexter is fully ready to go—he has all his documents, vaccinations, and health checks in place—but the cost of sending him as cargo is extremely high and we have already put a large amount towards his vet bills so far.

We’re reaching out for support to help cover these unexpected expenses so Dexter can finally make it to Denton Holme and start his new life with family who are so excited to meet him.
