Christmas Day Swim - Portmarnock Beach
We have set up this fundraising page to raise much needed funds for St.Francis Hospice Raheny. Unfortunately, as a result of Covid 19, this has had a negative impact for fundraising all over the country.
This time last year, Christmas week, our dad went to stay in St Francis Hospice in Raheny. The nurses and doctors there are so amazing. There are not enough words to explain how much care and dignity they provided to our dad and family.
So many people have been hit with this devastating disease. The care provided by the hospices are absolutely incredible. They are amazing people, like angels sent from up above.
The photo on this page is of our dad’s 70th birthday, where he celebrated at one of his favourite past times, Shelbourne Park Greyhound Stadium.
On New Years Eve, 31st December 2019, our dad’s fight ended, whereby he passed away surrounded by our family.
In order to raise much needed funds for St. Francis Hospice, a number of our family members will participate in a Christmas Day Swim on Portmarnock beach. All welcome to join and come along!
Hopefully, we can try to help and donate towards this amazing hospice. Any amount of money will help, even as much as €5 or €10.
