Fundraising for Venner Hall Dementia Cafe Sydenham

The Dementia Café has been open for two years and is run by Pat O'Hara, a caring lady who has many years experience helping people with Dementia.

The café is open on Tuesday mornings where hot drinks and snacks are served to attendees and carers.

It is a community for everyone, including members and volunteers who help run the cafe.

The activities include dancing, crafts, hand massage, games and bingo. It relies on donations to enable it to continue to open weekly.

Roy passed away on 9th November after a seven year battle with Alzheimer’s Dementia. He enjoyed his trips to the café. Although unable to verbally communicate, he was very happy to listen to other people and LOVED to dance.
