Aiden Flores #13 Hornets
Donation protected
On Sat Oct 1st, as I sat on the sidelines cheering on my son and his team, the one thing any mother hates to see, your child down on the field and can't move. Aiden was hit hard today by several players on the opposing team and one of the players knee went straight into Aidens hip. He had to be removed off the field by EMT's. He was taken to Piedmont Pediatric ER where they treated his pain and did x-rays. The xray showed that his left hip had been dislocated. An orthopedic specialist and his team came in and sedated him and popped his hip back into place. They also did a CT to see if anything was fractured and we are still waiting on the results of that as I type this. Aiden is the most kindhearted kid. He never met person that he didn't like or visa versa. He cares so much and always looks out for his friends. Even after what he had went through today, when he came through from being sedated, he was concerned about one of his teammates and wanted to make sure he was OK. His exact words were " I gotta look out for him". He brought tears to my eyes at that moment, I knew my son had a heart of gold. Unfortunately with all of this happening, he will be down for approximately 6 weeks. We have to make a few modifications to out home to better suite him. Between my husband and I we don't have enough vacation time at work to take off. So, some of time we will not be paid for and it's gonna hit us hard. We will have to use what we have saved to make the minor alterations at home one being a wheelchair ramp. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. He's a tough kid but it's gonna be a long road to recovery.
