Help Kristi Beat Breast Cancer

Donation protected
On March 24, 2020, Kristi's world turned upside down when she found a lump in the breast.  India, where her family had been living for many years, was on total police-enforced lockdown but a friend got her in at the hospital where he works. The very next day she was told it was malignant.  About a week later,  she knew it was an aggressive kind of cancer that had already spread to her lungs (Stage IV, HER2+).

In India, flights were grounded; no flights in, out, or within the country.  Kristi and Dave had planned to start treatment in India so that they could wait out COVID19 and have a healthy transition to the states.  Unfortunately, the severity of her case and the uncertain, extended lockdown required a US government evacuation flight very suddenly.

Kristi's Treatment
An expert breast cancer specialist and her team at UCSD in California feel that a cure could still be possible despite this being classified as stage four.

Kristi will undergo chemotherapy for at least 4-5 months, with the first treatment in San Diego.  They will then relocate to AZ for future treatments while coordinating with the expert in San Diego.

Our Fundraising Goal
We would like to help lessen the financial burden for Kristi and her family.

The bill for the US government organized evacuation flights for the family of 6 will arrive in about 14 days but was quoted at more than 2x the normal price of the international flights.

Thankfully, Kristi does have health insurance, but her medical bills have already almost hit the annual family out-of-pocket maximum limit.  These are the payments for imaging, chemotherapy, lab tests, Rx, and possible upcoming surgical procedures.

There's Never a Good Time for Cancer
This is such a difficult time for everyone right now.  The thought of you even giving this a consideration is a very big blessing.

Thank you to everyone who has already reached out, and continues to reach out with love and support, meals, and activities for the kids.  We are grateful beyond words.

As you all know, Kristi is very strong and brave.  She has unwavering faith in God.  She is experiencing the supernatural peace and hope of Jesus throughout this experience.  Thank you for being a great part of that because of your prayers.
