Raising Funds for Practice Marimba

Having completed my remote learning senior year and an online virtual graduation from Pickerington Central High School, I'm looking forward to my next five years at Oberlin Conservatory and College, with dual degrees in performance (Percussion) and another in the liberal arts (perhaps Film Studies). Thinking about the summer ahead and the possibilities of future distance learning away from rehearsal rooms and practice studios, I'm starting this GoFundMe & gathering all graduation gift money/funds to purchase this DeMorrow 5 Octave Practice Marimba. Reading its description below, I can already imagine the impact playing on this marimba will have on my performance skills and musicality.
"The bar set on this instrument is chosen specifically to NOT be put over tubes. The bars in this format will give the player a sense of ring-time and connection so musical playing can still come through. Because it does not have tubes, the dynamic range is much lower than that of an instrument with tubes. It does, however, highlight ALL of the things we try to do as players such as balance between hands, balance of chords, direction of musical line, control of striking area, and rate of speed of the mallet off of the bar. As with all DeMorrow marimbas, the evenness from bar to bar is paramount."
