Jennifer needs help with medical expenses.

My sweet niece, Jennifer Eley needs our help. She is a 45-year-old loving wife and mother of two wonderful boys with a beautiful granddaughter. She dedicated years as a teacher at Smart Start. She has always been vibrant and full of life up until 5 years ago when her heath began to rapidly deteriorate. Since then, she has been fighting an uphill medical battle. At the end of 2022 she was finally referred to a cardiologist that has started to put the pieces together. They believe she has autonomic dysfunction, which is a form of dysautonomia. There are no testing or treatment centers for this in Florida or anywhere close, in fact. The closest place is in Nashville Tennessee at Vanderbilt medical center, which, luckily, they except her insurance. Our first battle is over. She finally has her first appointments on November 6th and 7th, but isn’t sure if she will go home after her appointment on the 7th or will have to stay longer. There is going to be travel, hotel, accommodations, and copayments that she’s going to struggle to cover. They have advised her not to fly and to drive instead, because they can’t guarantee how long she will be there each visit and there will be a lot of back-and-forth if she receives this diagnosis. Her husband is able to cover their normal household expenses but not the exorbitant cost involved with getting her medical treatment.
