72% of your fellow Darden students have already pledged to help out the Charlottesville community!

In Charlottesville, CoVID-19 is uprooting the daily lives of Low-Wage Workers, impacting necessities such as food and shelter! Given the economic challenges that have followed the global pandemic, it is more important than ever to rally behind our community.

To do our part, we would like to invite you to help us support the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation.  We believe this non-profit organization is well-positioned to help support and heal the Charlottesville community during these unfortunate times.

Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

How did the idea come up in the first place?

I was stranded in the C'Ville airport at 12 AM upon my return. After 30 min of relentless waiting, a Lyft showed up. To my surprise, it was the exact same guy who dropped me at the airport while I was leaving. After reminiscing a few memories, we were discussing the current situation and he began to share details about how the reduced capital inflow was resulting in his landlord asking him to vacate his house. I realized how many of the less fortunate people, such as him, the C'Ville community had and thus wanted to do something to help them out, however we can!

I am sure that many of you guys would have come across similar people and might know a few personally! The onus is on us to ensure everyone makes it through these trying times!
