Help with Rent-Deposit

Donation protected

My names lee and I've been a resident of Traverse City, since I was seven. Now in my mid-30's. I've been on disability(SSA) since I was a child. I work and give back to the community whenever I can. It feels weird to be the one asking for help. With my SSA check plus, part time work that is on a needs basis meaning one month, I may have enough to save and pay bills and other months; it's a struggle just to get by. Most of my disabilities are medical, however I do suffer from PTSD and anxiety. I make twice yearly trips to my endocrinologist down in Ann Arbor Michigan as they're able to provide the specialized care needed.

I've struggled for almost 13 years to find affordable housing. Back in 2017, I started on a wait list for a local housing subsidized apartment, nearly five plus years on that said list and I was told it'd be 2-3 years since they are conducting construction. This means the wait list is frozen. That being said I was having a hell of a time in my search before the pandemic hit, now it's impossible. I never thought I'd even find one that had not already been rented. I found one, finally! While I could afford part if the 900$, one time, I'm not able to pay the deposit all at once. That's not possible, On top of all of the other funds needed to move into the place. I fear, If I don't get this money in time [By August 1st, 2021] my chance in over a decade will disappear. Please give what you are able to: even if it's only 1$, I would be grateful!! To me that is one dollar less on that big deposit! If you are not able to help, prayers and good vibes would be awesome!!
