Join Joey's Dream

I am writing this for Joey Alexander. He is 17 years old and a National Honor Society student at Wilmington Early College High School. Ever since Joey was 7 years old he has dreamed of playing hockey in college and possibly the NHL.  Well...he is on his way to reaching his goals!  Joey has accepted a position for a team playing Junior “A” Hockey in Ontario, Canada.  This is a step he must take in order to fullfill his dreams of playing hockey in college and a means of furthering his education.  Joey is a fine young man who is an excellent student and a respected hockey player in the Southeastern US.  As you might imagine, coming from the south and trying to compete with the boys from up north is very difficult.  Joey has proven he can play at the highest skill level and we, as his friends, wish to help him achieve his goals for a bright future.  Joey is also very dedicated in helping younger players appreciate the game of hockey.  He is always helping kids to learn the game by volunteering at the Wilmington Ice House.  Joey has helped with the "Learn To Play Hockey" programs, the youth house league teams at practices and even volunteers with the Wheel Chair Hockey team in town. Joey is what we call a "Rink Rat".  If he is not at school he is usually at the rink attending Stick and Puck sessions trying to improve his game or working out is his garage on weight training and doing off- ice exercises.
Please help us support Joey follow his dreams!
