Joe's Medical Journey

I'm Joe's niece, and I am trying to raise money for medical expenses and to help the family with bills that will be piling up. I want them to focus on healing and not stressing over finances. Joe was taken to the hospital and was fighting pneumonia and sepsis. His condition worsened so he was transferred to a hospital in St Louis where they did testing and found an infection in the mitral valve. He went in for open heart surgery today where they replaced the mitral valve, the aortic valve and did one bypass. This will be a long and hard recovery but I know he can pull through this. This is one of the most amazing men I've ever met. He is a friend to everyone and would give you his last dollar. He has an amazing wife and two beautiful children and he is so loved. He is soft hearted, funny and just an all around great man. Let's come together and show him how much we love him. Every little bit helps!
