Luke Hopkins BSB 2023

After the crushing disappointment of not being able to complete the 2022 BSB season with his small, family run, privateer team due to a lack of funding, Luke Hopkins is excited to announce that plans are now being made for him to compete in the 2023 BSB Championship with NP Racing where he’ll race their Kawasaki ZX10R. However, there is one big hurdle....funding. Luke personally needs to raise at least £30k to be on the grid this season. Luke is a super-talented racer who has risen through the ranks of UK club racing in double quick time to become a credible, competitive and popular BSB rider. Luke scored points on his BSB debut in 2021 and flirted with the points scoring places in 2022 only for the team to fold with four rounds left. Luke has the talent and speed it takes to be on the BSB grid but he needs some financial help to get there and stay there this season.

In Luke’s words: “I’m planning to be back in BSB in 2023 after signing with NPRacing to ride their Kawasaki ZX10R. I’m very excited to announce my plans for the new season and I’m looking forward to working with the team and getting started with some testing in the New Year. NPRacing switched to Kawasaki last season and I’m looking forward to riding the bike. I ran my own ZX10R in 2019 and 2020 and did well on it so it seems to suit my riding style. I’ve known team owner Neil Pearson for some time and he runs a really solid, tight little team. As ever, my biggest hurdle will be finding the funds to get me through the season. The team and I are still looking for sponsorship and as I mentioned in my social media posts, we’ll be announcing some sponsorship packages shortly.”

In the meantime, I’ve launched this GoFundMe page to try and quickly raise some funds which will enable Luke to go testing with the team prior to the season starting in April. If each of Luke’s Facebook followers were to donate just £5 (which is less than the price of a posh coffee and a sandwich!), then he’d be well on his way to raising the £30k he’ll need to get through the season.
