Memorial fund for Ida (Zane) Smith

Hello, my name is Heidi Engedahl. I am Heather Pate’s best friend (soul sister) of twenty-plus years. Last week, we lost a very beautiful soul, Ida (Zane) Smith to a long battle of mental illness. Ida was like a nephew to me since the very beginning when she entered this world. She was a beloved friend to both of my children.

Ida (Zane)’s personal journey was not without ups and downs, but she had a golden heart when it came to spending time with her family, friends and discovering more about life. In her brief time on Earth, all she wanted was to be accepted for who she truly was. This young lady loved having her hair braided, listening to music, experimenting with makeup, talking on the phone and one of her favorite things to do on a hot summer day would be to go swimming in the river with friends and siblings. Nature was where she found peace on her long walks.

Her free spirited personality was always present in everything she did and tried. This was a fearless young woman whose flame faded all too soon.

I hope you will join me in celebrating her memory and take the time to help her family in this difficult time. They will need the help with donations or sharing this post with others.

The money will cover the memorial, medical, therapy and family expenses for the next few weeks or months to get through this difficult transition.
