House Fire

On 10-22-23 Deputies with the Hamblen Co Sheriffs Dept responded to a structure fire. Little did we know until arrival it was one of our own brothers in Blue house. Lt Eddie Hefners house was engulfed in flames. We quickly learned that his mother was still inside the residence. Lt Hefner was not at home at the time. Deputies quickly kicked in the front door but could not enter due to smoke and heat. West Hamblen Volunteer Fire Dept arrived along with an off duty Morristown Fire Dept personnel and entered the residence and recovered his mother. She was quickly flown to a burn center in Nashville. The house is a loss and it’s contents. Please support our brother in blue during these hard times. Any donation would be greatly appreciated
