My name is Juan Sanchez, and I have the honor of being my grandmother Yolanda S. Sanchez’s grandson and Power of Attorney. For over 30 years, my grandmother called Elgin, IL, home, where she touched countless lives with her kindness, strength, and vibrant sense of humor.

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of her passing. Yolanda was a truly remarkable woman who left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her unwavering love and dedication to her family and community will forever be cherished.

As we come together to celebrate her incredible life, we are facing the unexpected financial challenge of covering her funeral expenses. • Funeral and Burial Costs: Due to her insurance being minimal, which was all she could qualify for, we are covering a significant portion of her funeral and burial expenses. Your support directly helps us ensure she has the dignified service she deserves.

• Storage Costs: She has a storage unit with personal belongings, and the funds will help us manage this until we can sort through and preserve her items.

• Additional Challenges: She faced unique challenges in life, needing substantial care from early on due to her disability. Our family was further impacted financially following her eviction from Popular Creek Apartments, which added to these unexpected costs.

I’m still grieving and have yet to fully go through her other bills, which may add to the final expenses when all is said and done. Your kindness is a light for us right now, and I am deeply grateful to each of you for your support
