In need of a new car

My name is BriAsia. My roommate keyasha and I share a car to get to school and work, they are about 40mins away. We just recently moved to California and are trying to get on our feet. My roommate was driving to work early in the morning, it was raining a lot and hard to see. The car in front of her braked suddenly so she braked and lost control of the car hitting the vehicle in front of her and the wall. She came out okay with only a few scratches on her knees. Our car is totaled and our insurance doesn’t cover much. We need to get a new car to get to school and work to pay our rent and other bills. We have some money but need some help, we are broke college students. Anything is very much appreciated.
