Councillor Comes Out of Retirement to Remember his Mate by running the Wigan 10K

Councillor Chris Ready is remembering his best friend Mick Marsh who passed away just over a year ago and spent his last few weeks in Wigan and Leigh Hospice.

Chris explains that he did his last 10K in 2015 and he had no intention of running it again. But knowing the excellent work the Hospice do every day and remembering Mick and how he appreciated what the staff did for him in his last few weeks, “This is my way of saying thanks.”

“I’ve not done much training and it will be hard but that’s nothing compared to what the Hospice staff do day in and day out”.
