Greetings to all of the Team Jess supporters,
In October of 2016, while nursing her 8 month old baby, Jessica felt a lump on her left breast. Jess quickly realized that she needed to immediately consult with her doctor about the lump. After an ultrasound and biopsy, Jess received the news on November 11 that she has stage 3 breast cancer. After chemo, radiation, and multiple surgeries, Jess was deemed cancer free!
However, in August of 2019 Jess was diagnosed with Metastatic Breast Cancer or stage 4. This means the cancer will never go away, but doctors will continue to treat it. The cancer has spread to her bones, lungs, liver, and most recently in March 2022, to her brain. After the most recent news, Jess will receive radiation to the whole brain to slow the spread and after that treatment her doctors will consult about chemotherapy options.
Jess is one incredibly amazing and strong woman. She is a dedicated wife to her husband Kyle, and an amazing stay at home mom to her four children Allie, Evan, Noah, and Rory. As her friend, it is an unbelievable blessing to have her in my life. Jess brings so much joy, happiness, love, and positivity to all of us who are so lucky to know her. Having Jess in my life has been one of my greatest privileges and I want to make sure that I do everything I can to support this truly wonderful family.
Jess has continued to face cancer, set backs, joys, and sorrows with so much strength. It has been a tough journey that often has been met with questions such as, "why in the world is this happening?" To which there is no good answer. However, we all continue to be touched by her strength, her story, and her unbending faith in God. Please support if you are financially able or through prayer and messages of love and hope. We all can continue to have hope and faith.
