A Cure For Joe

Many of you know my dad, Joe Taylor. I would be willing to bet that if you know him he has helped you in some way or another. If there was a way he could help you he would without hesitation. He is one of the most unselfish people I know, and now he needs our help. First, for those who don’t know Joe a little background. My dad served in the air force from 1955 to 1959 when he was honorably discharged. He then served as a police officer and deputy Sheriff from 1960 to 1965. Thereafter he got into repossessions as the owner of Chekmate International, he spent 25 years in the field and was directly involved in more than 20,000 repossessions. While running Chekmate, Joe also served 12 years on the Florida Private Investigation, Recovery and Security Council where he assisted in writing the new FL repossession statutes under Chapter 493fs, which regulates the Private Investigation, Collateral and Private Security industries in Florida. Joe is also a licensed insurance broker and often assisted recovery agents with their insurance needs. He never stopped learning while always passing along his knowledge. It was his passion that lead him to author the Certified Asset Recovery Specialist (CARS) National Certification Program, which is the premier professional certification program for collateral recovery agents nationwide. In 2003, Joe was invited to the Division of Licensing, Tallahassee, Florida, where he was awarded the American Flag and the Florida State Flag that flew over the Capitol in Tallahassee. The American Flag was awarded in appreciation for his military service and the Florida State Flag was awarded in recognition for his service to the collateral recovery industry. He has spent his whole life finding ways to help people and never expected anything in return.
In 2017, at the age of 81, Joe had to step away from his career due to serious health issues. After 3 years of hospitalizations and testing he has now been diagnosed with Lyme disease, a debilitating disease that can be fatal if not treated aggressively by Lyme disease experts. The costs of these treatments are very, very expensive. We have found a facility in Mexico that has an incredibly successful treatment plan and have actually developed a cure for Lyme disease.
As mentioned, the treatment isn't cheap but well worth the cost if it can provide him with substantial relief from chronic pain, dizziness, fatigue and other debilitating symptoms of Lyme disease. I pray anyone reading this never has to deal with this disease, if not diagnosed early it does unimaginable damage not only to the person with the disease but also to family. His caretaker and wife of many years, Elizabeth, has the primary duty to take care of him while watching the person she loves deteriorate right before her eyes. As Joe’s youngest son I am asking for your compassion and financial assistance at this time. No one has to contribute, but every dollar is appreciated and will be spent on Joe’s trip to Mexico to get help.
