Help With My Medical Expenses

Hi, my name is Rosemarie Dominick.

2023 has not been the kindest to our family. As many of you know, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2021. After a double mastectomy and a few rounds of chemotherapy my family and I were happily celebrating me being cancer free by my 61st birthday.  Unfortunately, in February 2023 I found out that the breast cancer had not only become metastatic, but it had also mutated into being triple negative. If you are unfamiliar with this, triple negative is extremely aggressive and much harder to treat.  The breast cancer has since spread to my spine and liver and is continuing to spread throughout my body. I have been continuously receiving chemotherapy since March 1, 2023 and I continue to defy the odds as I have not responded to any of the multiple chemotherapy treatments I have undergone up to this point.  My short-term goal is to make it to my son’s wedding in April 2024, where I will hopefully be strong enough to witness this momentous moment in his life.   In light of finding out that I am not responding to the most recent type of chemotherapy, my family and I feel like we are at the point where we need to seek additional help, as the clock is ticking, and the cancer is spreading faster.  I reached out to MD Anderson with the hopes that with their aid we can find something that my body might respond to.  I am willing to try anything and fight until the very end to give my children and family as much time as I possibly can. I was lucky enough to secure an appointment with MD Anderson in December, however, they do not take my insurance and the out-of-pocket costs are extremely high for the initial visit alone.  In addition to the cost of the initial visit, I will also have to pay out of pocket for any testing which could cost close to $6K. In short, I don’t have that kind of money, so I am turning to you.  I do not ask for financial help lightly, but I am willing to do anything to give my children and grandchildren more time with me.  Any little bit of financial support we can get will make a huge impact on mine and my children’s lives.  Please help me get the treatment I need from MD Anderson.   

 I am hopeful that by some miracle I can survive this and do the same for someone else one day.
