Help Us Save Olive

Hello,
We are setting up this go fund me page for our puppy Olive! We welcomed Olive just a day before Christmas to our four children whom had been praying for a pet puppy! In less than eight weeks, our sweet little bundle of energy and spark has become just the opposite. Sadly, her symptoms came on quite abruptly beginning with extreme lethargy and in just days progressed quite quickly to complete neurological distress. Our once playful, prancing, tug of war, ball fetching, plant grabbing, naughty little giggle giving, puppy of JOY suddenly couldn’t stand without falling over, couldn’t recognize the faces of those she loved or the home that was hers, and became unresponsive to the calling of her name. After multiple vet visits and a few thousand dollars worth of testing and ultrasounds, we finally have landed on a diagnosis and treatment plan. Olive’s condition can be corrected with surgery. Olive has a liver shunt that is causing an extreme build up of toxins in her blood and prohibiting the liver from functioning properly. The blood being circulated throughout her body to her brain is poisoned and therefore is the reason for neurological paralysis. At this point in time, we are heart broken and discouraged. As a family of six, with four young children, an expense such as this will not be feasible without help. Never once during the purchase of Olive through a legitimate breeder, did we think we would be up against such a giant as this a few weeks later. We are broken for our children, we understand that death is a part of life and have already started preparing each of them for such. We humbly hold onto to the Hope that we have in Christ Jesus, for a way through this. We are trying to raise $10,000 if it is God’s will. If we cannot and the balance is more than we can afford, all the money donated, will be returned to the senders. We will keep Olive comfortable for however long she will be with us. Should you be pressed to donate, please know how incredibly grateful we are!!!
