Help Molly Fight Breast Cancer

My name is Laura and I am Molly’s Aunt, but we prefer to call each other Sisters. To be around Molly is to love her. She is, hands down, my favorite person in the world to laugh with. Molly is a loving wife to her husband, Joe, who works as a Police Officer. Molly and Joe are kind and selfless, always lending a hand and expecting nothing in return. Molly is an amazing Mom to 3 beautiful children - Abby (11), Michael (10), and Zoe (8). The Buggy family have endured and persevered through many trials in life. Yet despite the challenges that life has presented, they have remained steadfast in their faith, positivity, and passion for spending time with all of the many people in their lives that they love. Those that know the Buggy family know the journey that they have been on with their daughter, Abby.

Abby had a stroke when she was just 3 days old from an infection which led to sepsis. Abby has struggled with muscular issues, bone problems, cognitive delays and, most significantly, epilepsy. Molly has helped Abby navigate through the last 11 years of therapy, doctors appointments, hospital stays and, most recently, 2 brain surgeries. Abby had a laser oblation of her temporal lobe and a vagal nerve stimulator (VNS) implanted.

A few days after Abby’s VNS surgery in October, our dear Molly was diagnosed with breast cancer - Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. After finding a concerning lump, Molly underwent a mammogram, ultrasound, and biopsy to confirm her breast cancer diagnosis at the young age of 34. We are grateful that it was caught at an early stage. During this holiday season, Molly will be undergoing additional testing and various appointments in preparation for surgery in early January to remove the cancer. Molly’s doctors plan to complete further testing during the surgery and will determine, from there, the best course of treatment post-surgery (chemotherapy, medication, etc.)

With gratitude, I am asking for everyone to hold Molly’s hand with us and consider donating toward her medical expenses, recovery, meals for their family, and anything they may need. All financial contributions will go directly to Molly and her family. They are facing a battle ahead and any donation, no matter the amount, will help alleviate some of their stress and worry.

On behalf of the Buggy Family and the Bryan family, I offer my sincere appreciation for your support during this difficult time.
