Tiana NCA Cheerleading Texas 2016
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Tiana Tatnell and I am a 14 year old student attending Frankston High School, in Melbourne – Australia. I’m in the last term of year 8.
I want to tell you about the trip of a lifetime I’m about to undertake and ask for your generosity in helping me get there.
Because here’s the thing - to get there, I need to raise $10,000. First – let me tell you why.
One of my biggest passions in life is doing cheer.
It’s what I love. To be honest, I wouldn’t know what to do without it. It’s a happy environment to be in, filled with energetic people that want to be better than they are today. Cheer is way more than just dance; it’s flips, jumps, tumble, stunts and pyramid. It requires strength, endurance, power, balance...and courage.
Cheer has made me more confident, more brave and stronger in mind and body. I’ve learned to trust in myself, and those around me. Every single time we go out on the floor, we rely on each other to do what we need to do – to make it all happen. If we can’t do that, it just doesn’t work.
I’ve become better at accepting feedback since doing cheer, because I know that it’s going to help me become better at what I do, and better as a person.
I’ve learnt how to ‘fight’ for my stunts and never give up.
So, this all leads to something pretty cool. In February 2016, my club Outlaws Alstars #LTNLTL will be sending 2 teams to Texas, USA to compete in the @ncacheer National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) All-Star Nationals. This is a big deal. There are teams from all over the world competing for a podium place; and we will be one of them. Participating in this event will be a dream come true for me. I’ll make heaps of new friends, work with some amazing international coaches and through my training – will be stronger, fitter and more confident than I’ve ever been.
But, I need to raise $10,000 to make this happen. I’m doing whatever I can to reach this total, but I would be really grateful to you, if you could help me get one step closer to achieving it.
I’ll be posting on Instagram regularly, to keep you up to date with the preparation. The training, the recovery, the food, the good stuff AND the bad.
Thank you xx
