A Fantastical Family Adventure for these Times of Great Change

"On a mountain of trash,
Juno lives without fear,
In her shack made of garbage,
In a land we call Here."

GALAPAGOS is more than just a play—it's a vital, vibrant, scary, funny story for our times. Set in a near-future world, the action follows the journey of Juno, a fearless young person living alone on top of a Trash Mountain. And she’s the person who Mother Nature chooses for a do-or-die mission to defeat the Tangler, sail across time to the legendary island of Galapagos and prove once and for all that we Humans are worthy of Nature’s love. It's a story of resilience, hope, and the importance of standing up for our planet.

Why This Matters:

These are times that ask us all to exercise our imagination. And the Arts can stimulate the imagination - particularly of young people - better than dry statistics and dire warnings ever can. The arts don’t solve problems like Climate Change. But they can help us play new responses into life.

What It Will Feel (and sound) Like:

GALAPAGOS is designed to inspire gasps, laughter, and hope in audiences of all ages. The show features a diverse ensemble of performers, blending dance, vocals, and physical percussion using recycled instruments. With echoes of musical legends like David Bowie, Kate Bush, and Peter Gabriel, the production's soundtrack will be as imaginative as its story.

Who We Are:

This project is a collaboration by an ecosystem of international artists, with a long-standing friendship of the ‘two Davids’ at its centre; David Glass, the legendary theatre maker (Gormenghast, The Lost Child) and creativity pioneer David Pearl (Street Wisdom, Story for Leaders).

David Glass is one of the great teachers and artists of our time

What They Say

“I am inspired by what you and the young people are doing. A terrific, urgent piece!”
Mark Rylance (Academy Award winning actor, director and campaigner)

The status quo isn’t working. We need to find new ways to tell Nature’s story. And really feel arts projects like can help.
