Support the Savard's - One more time

As most of you know, Ruth was diagnosed with stage IIIB colorectal cancer on May 3, 2019 and began her nearly year-long treatment journey of radiation, chemotherapy and 2 surgeries soon after. Unfortunately, in June 2020 metastatic cancer was discovered on her uterine cervix. Despite getting multiple opinions including a thorough consultation at Mayo clinic, she was given only one very extreme surgical option to treat the cancer - a total pelvic exenteration. This procedure entailed nearly 6 months of recovery and left Ruth with ongoing challenges to this day.

Since that time, she has undergone 2 more rounds of radiation to treat metastatic lesions on her lung and is now facing another lengthy battle as she was informed that she now has a larger lesion at the lymph nodes near her mediastinum. She has already begun her 3 week course of radiation and will begin 6 months of chemotherapy beginning in early April 2023. She has been fighting long and hard and one can only imagine the type of physical, emotional and financial strain this nearly 4-year long battle has caused both her and her family.
