HELP GRIEVING FAMILY

On Christmas day 25th December 2021, a tragedy occurred at Noreuil Park at the Murray River in Albury, resulting in the heart breaking loss of Julius Lunanga (Jules).

Jules arrived in Australia with his family on a humanitarian refugee visa in March 2018. The loss of Jules on Christmas day comes after the recent loss of the family’s grandmother Beatrice Malilwa who passed away on 5th November 2021.

Since Jules and the families arrival to Albury Wodonga they have contributed and have become much loved and valued members of many communities including sporting teams, Wodonga Senior Secondary College, Wodonga Tafe, places of employment Coles and Twin City Truck Center in Wodonga and places of worship.

The sudden and shocking death of Jules has left the family devastated; Jules was the sole income earner for the family. On behalf of the family, the Congolese community and leaders, we are requesting financial support for this family during their grieving process. The funds raised will go directly to the family to cover living expenses, food, rent, bills and provide the space for the family to process and grieve this enormous loss.
Pastor Kalwindi Mbele who is the organizer of this GofundMe campaign, is the church leader for Jules’ and his family. Pastor Mbele has Jules’ families consent to organize this fundraising campaign with two additional team members Innocent Rutebeza and Kilimo Mukamba 
Innocent Rutebeza is the elected welfare coordinator of the “Albury Wodonga Congolese Community” and Kilimo Mukamba is one of Jules’ family member. 
All donations from this campaign will go directly to Jule’s family’s bank account, to cover the cost associated with this heartbreaking tragedy.
