Please Support Bianca's Journey to Recovery

Our daughter, Bianca Rossi, was in the prime of her life, filled with a deep passion for caring for animals, taking long walks with dogs, and exploring the world with friends and family. Her journey took an unexpected turn when our loyal companion, Shadow, who we rescued nine years ago, left us on a fateful Monday. Shadow's departure brought immense sorrow to Bianca and our family, making it a day heavy with emotion.

Just five hours later, Bianca was at home with her loved ones, grappling with a crippling headache. She retreated to her room, only to return downstairs in excruciating pain. In a moment of utter despair, Bianca lost consciousness and fell. We swiftly dialed 911, and within minutes, the Fire and EMT teams arrived. Medics evaluated her and rushed her to a local hospital, where a Neurosurgeon could provide further assessment. It became evident that Bianca had experienced a severe brain bleed caused by Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM). Neurosurgeons worked tirelessly to relieve the pressure inside her skull and brain before transferring her to UC Davis Medical Center, where she continues to receive critical care.

To date, Bianca has undergone three surgeries to alleviate pressure and cauterize the affected blood vessels, arteries, and veins. More procedures are expected in the days and weeks ahead.

While the extent of any potential vision loss or neurological deficits remains uncertain, we are steadfast in our belief that Bianca's strength and the love and support of her family and friends will guide her through this challenging chapter.

Bianca's friends and family have gathered from all corners of the state to be by her side, a testament to the love and support she has garnered.

Regrettably, Bianca's medical insurance does not cover the expenses incurred during her initial hospitalization, including the life-saving procedures performed to relieve the pressure. This places a significant financial burden upon our family.

My wife Leana, our twin sons Lucas and Jacob, and I find ourselves struggling as we spend our days at the hospital, dedicated to Bianca's recovery. We know it will be a long journey, and we are determined to provide her with the best care possible. However, with the rising costs of fuel, food, accommodations, and other unforeseen expenses, our finances are stretched thin.
