Support Grace's Family in Their Time of Loss

In the early hours of Monday, Dec. 2nd, the unexpected happened. Grace, at the tender age of 15 years old, was sent to be in Heaven. When her parents thought she was tucked in for the night, Grace had decided to complete some DD orders to make money for her Christmas presents to family and friends. Unfortunately, those early hours of Dec. 2nd were filled with an abnormal amount of low visibility for this area. Grace lost control of the vehicle she was driving around SR20 and Libby Rd. When emergency help arrived, Grace was declared gone.

Jennifer and Jake Horn were informed of Grace’s passing. This is something no parent should ever have to go through. Instead of planning for Grace’s Christmas presents being wrapped and opened, it quickly shifted to the intrusive thoughts, the, “what ifs,” the planning of the funeral of your one and only princess.

Jen and Jake are in the throes of grief and planning a memorial and funeral, met with unexpected costs. If you knew Grace personally, you knew she hated asking for help. She was a strong and very independent young lady. She took pride in being able to provide however she could. Her Mama was her world and her Daddy was her knight in shining armor. She was a friend to everyone; she didn’t know anyone who she wasn't willing to take a chance on. Always wanting to find a way to “fix” whatever problem there was. She was witty, and her laugh was unlike any you have ever heard. Filled with such innocence, she was taken too young, and her dreams have become memories for those who were blessed to know them.

As her friends, we want to make the financial aspect the last worry on their minds, giving them the time and space to mourn and feel the loss of such a beautiful and amazing daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend.
