State matching grant programs help TCA bring arts professionals in all disciplines to participating schools in Tuolumne County, Ca. TCA is located in the California foothills in Gold Country. Visit us online at: www.mytuolumnecountyarts.org
We were awarded a matching grant (for the 2020-2021 school year), in order to serve four county schools. The grant that was awarded was generous, and before the pandemic, a realistic and achievable dollar match to help bring enriching arts activities and superior arts education into the classroom, and employ local artists.
The first hurdle in organizing for the 2020-2021 year is to find money for the matches that are now uncertain. We will also shift our classroom focus to video and multiple online platforms in order to deliver standards based arts instruction. We cannot accept that there will be no arts instruction, and no salaries for four artists in residence and two visiting artists! Please help us with added costs for the technology that we will need to record lessons, pay our talented artists, and hire a web person to organize our material for online delivery.
Please help us in our continuing commitment to Arts Education. Help us raise matching funds for Twain Harte, Curtis Creek, Jamestown and Soulsbyville Schools for the 2020/2021 year.
With the disruptions in our lives and our children's lives, the arts are a needed respite in which to discover, create, and develop useful skills .
Where there is ART, there is HOPE! Thank you!
From Americans for the Arts:
ARTS EDUCATION IS ESSENTIAL
It is imperative that all students have access to an equitable delivery of arts education that includes dance, media arts, music, theatre, and visual arts that supports their educational, social, and emotional well-being, taught by certified professional arts educators in partnership with community arts providers.

CREATE CALIFORNIA is California's statewide arts education coalition. Now more than ever we need to remind the public and Education leadership of the value of an arts education. Create CA has produced two short videos, each with a unique purpose and specific audience to support the work.
