Our Story

My name is Aaron Carter, and I am reaching out on behalf of my wonderful mother, Katherine [Trueblood, Carter] Clucas. Recently, my mom's world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. While the doctors are optimistic about her treatment plan, the road ahead will be long and challenging.

About Katherine

Katherine has always been a pillar of strength, offering her kindness, love, and support to everyone around her. Whether she’s making you food, helping friends in need, or simply being a loving mom and grandmother, Katherine has always put others first.

The Diagnosis

The doctors have assured us that the cancer is treatable, but the journey ahead involves surgery and an extensive recovery period. This means significant medical expenses and an extended time away from work for both treatment and recovery.

The Financial Challenge

After many hardships and lost jobs during the COVID pandemic, the out-of-pocket costs for her treatment are daunting, even with insurance. Additionally, the time mom will need to take off from work to focus on her health will further strain her finances. We estimate that we need $10,000 to cover medical bills, treatment costs, and support her while she is unable to work.
