JBar Needs Your Help
Donation protected
My friend Joe Dunbar has been going through a tough, challenging stretch the past few months or so, and I decided to set up GoFundMe in hopes of helping Joe have the resources to get back on his feet.
Anyone who knows Joe well knows he is such a vibrant part of the Portland community and a friend to everyone he meets. His positivity, no matter his struggles, is truly inspiring. Joe is a powerful example of our Portland community and the kind of person that makes this town so awesome.
Joe typically works from home, loves to cook, is a huge sports fan, and attends every Maine Mariners game in a suit and tie, which shows his dedication to local sports. Joe loves many different kinds of music, is a mega Swifty lol, and loves hanging out with everyone in the Portland community.
Finding housing in the Portland area is a tough challenge, plain and simple. Joe could not find a new place to rent by the time he had to move out of his old one, and he has since been without a place
to live for over the past two months.
Joe was initially staying in hotels but has recently struggled for regular accommodation. As a result, his backpack with all his medications and tablet were stolen while he was sleeping.
He recently found a coworking space, allowing him to begin working again during this challenging time.
Joe is an extraordinarily gracious and loving human who, despite all this, keeps positive, works hard, and spreads love! He needs a little support to help him get back on his feet again and afford a security
deposit and rent for the first month.
Now, he needs your help to find stability with a place to stay, and any donation would be a big help for him in this overwhelmingly challenging time.
Joe would like to express that anyone willing to donate to support him, and thank you in advance for any help you may be willing to give!!
Update: Joe recently also lost his job a little over two weeks ago. Losing a job is tough enough, but losing it during the holidays weeks before Christmas is even tougher. Joe is working on getting a new similar job ASAP, but also is hoping for a bit of a holiday miracle. Any donations to help him through this challenging time again will be greatly appreciated.
