Prayers For Peyton

Hello friends, we are raising money on behalf of my 10 yr old niece Peyton Walton. Peyton was recently diagnosed with Undifferentiated Embryonic Hepatic Sarcoma, a particularly aggressive type of liver cancer. Fortunately, only a few cases of this type of cancer are diagnosed in the U.S. in children each year, but Peyton was unfortunately one of them. In the midst of a family move to Maryland this summer, Peyton complained of stomach pain, and upon further examination by her Dr. she was immediately admitted for surgery. A portion of sweet Peyton's liver was resected, and a 9cm tumor was removed, putting her family move on temporary hold while she was in the hospital recovering and a plan for her care was formulated by her treatment team. Peyton is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation, all while transitioning to a new town in a new state and starting in a new school. Through all the pin pricks, pokes, prods, and scans she has remained her usual feisty self and shown courage and a mental and physical toughness that belie her age. In short, she is an inspiration, a fine example for how to tackle any challenges life may throw one's way. So we are attempting to raise money to help offset her medical costs already incurred and yet to come, as this will undoubtedly be a long road ahead with many twists and turns. We are also attempting to purchase a mobile robot for her school that would allow Peyton and any future students to participate in their classroom education when her medical needs require her to remain at home.
